Hi! I was wondering what training is needed to join the peace corps. I'm only 14 yrs. old and I have helped out at some homeless shelters and food pantrys around the Millwaukee area. I was wonderind what I can do more along the lines of peace corp stuff. A reason I wanted to join the peace corps is because if I don't make it through high school and collage that this would be at the top of my list of things to do. Is it true that I coun fly all over the world and help all kinds of people. I can build houses or get fresh water to the dryest of places. Could I sleep out in a tent and eat exotic foods. Could I scale a vertical cliff just to get to a tribe in need. Is the peace corps all about that? The peace corps has got to be one of the coolest jobs. Do I have to go to collage to join. I know that some things need a lot of training,but I know I could do it all. I alraedy love the outdoors and rockclimbing. WOW, just writing this gets me all excited. My dream is to go to the University of Arizonia and become an Astronomer, but no one seems to believe I can achieve this. So next job on the list is this. Can I learn to fly a plane. It must be awesome to live like a real live Mother Teresa. There are so many questions I have to ask. Is all this stuff I said true? Hey, Can I skydive to reach an African tribe in the middle of Kenya. That would be killer. I bet the best part of the job is seeing the faces and smiles of all the people you have helped. Thats a reward and pay I'd take any day.
